12 May 2016

”Raising awareness about computer security” is the theme of the seminar organized and delivered to senior management of the National Assembly by Solution Informatique Durable (SOLID). It was April 12, 2016 in the hall of the Ivorian parliament restaurant.Ms. Fofana Rockya Coulibaly, Director General of Solution Informatique Durable (SOLID) discussed during her presentation, that the purpose of this training is to secure the data of the participants in the seminar when using social networks. According to her, there are indeed many threats to users when they are on them. These include cyber bullying, identity theft, threats in the real world.

To avoid these dangers, Ms. Fofana Rockya Coulibaly advised the participants to the seminar not only think before sending a post because “internet never forgets,” but also to pay attention to the links that are sent by IM, not to give personal information on social networks, and avoid using the same password for all accounts. In short, learn to form and be vigilant to minimize the risks. Despite all this, the trainer admitted that IT security does not exist 100%. In this regard, the Director of SOLID argued that more than three billion data was lost or stolen in 2013-2015.
Facing the danger of hacking, the National Assembly decided to assume its responsibilities by forming its directors and staff.
